FROM BENGALURU KEMPEGOWDA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (BIA):
By BUS: Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has Volvo buses from Bangalore International /Kempegowda Airport (BIA) to various points of the city for every 15 minutes. To reach Institute for Social and Economic Change (ISEC) you may take BUS Route No 02, 11 to Vijay Nagar and Mysore Road Bus Station (Kengeri satellite bus station) respectively. Duration: 1 hr 50 min (~4 km away from ISEC guest house) OR to Kempegowda Bus Station (Majestic) Route No. 09 Duration: 1 hr. 15 min. (~12 km away from ISEC office.)
BY TAXI: Taxis are a fairly comfortable way to travel in Bengaluru, even though a little expensive. If you are coming to NLSIU directly from the station or from the Airport, try to come by OLA or UBER.
FROM Majestic BUS / TRAIN STATION:
BY BUS: The buses from Majestic / Kempe Gowda Bus Station that come to Nagarbhavi circle are: 238 A, B, C, 235 E, [From PLATFORM 19A] from Nagarbhavi Circle it is walkable distance around 100 meters. If one does not get a bus to Nagarbhavi, it is also convenient to catch a bus to VIJAYNAGAR Bus stop (Plat form No. 1, 2, route No. 61, 61A ) and an auto-rickshaw from there to NLSIU (about 4 km to ISEC Guest house).
BY TRAIN: The Bangalore City Railway is the nearest Railway Station which is opposite to Kempe Gowda Bus Station. It is about 12 km from ISEC. You can take an auto from the railway station. Autos are a fairly convenient means of commuting in Bangalore. However, they do have their drawbacks. Being on the outskirts of Bangalore, Nagarbhavi is not exactly preferred location for the Auto-rickshaw Drivers. If you take an auto to ISEC which is 800 meter away from Nagarbhavi Circle during night, or with excess baggage, or with more than three people, they may even ask for (1.5 times on meter) more.
